Marketing Mistakes PT. 1
The biggest marketing mistake I see companies make is the failure to market their business at all. Here is the rest of my list (in no particular order):
Consistently posting updates to social media, and actually engaging with your audience.
Consistently communicating directly with your audience with newsletters.
Consistently planning out your marketing goals on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly basis.
You see where I’m going with this, consistency is everything.
I get it, not every business owner falls into marketing effortlessly, if at all. Or has the time. That’s OK! Just don’t be fooled into thinking that it’s not important, which is easy to do especially when business is going well. In fact, that is precisely the best time to ramp up your social media marketing, because you have so much great things to talk about with your audience.
Think about the health and wellness of your company the same as you do your personal health. You know it’s imperative to eat right and get regular exercise for optimal health, staving off disease, hospital visits, and ultimately triage. So for your company this means paying close attention to your marketing strategy, efficient operations, and squaring away your finances.
Becoming a talking head to market my business is a new skill I'm working on. If you know this is not in your wheelhouse, hire it out. Don't get caught on the sidelines with no marketing plan. Hire to your weakness.
